'When the rebels rebelled' The story of Hornsey College of Art
TUESDAY 17th 7pm.
In 1968 one of Britain’s greatest art colleges rebelled. For 6 weeks Hornsey College of Art held a sit-in that changed the policy of the government towards creativity. It become global news and is now part of Crouch End’s creative legacy.
Dr Chris Arnold delivers a fascinating talk on the history of this event. Chris studied at Hornsey College of Art just before it closed but recalls that the legacy of the revolution was still present.

An engaging story that entwines myth, biblical and stark reality in a dramatic journey through the centuries. A historic novel, it presents the tales of some powerful women who shaped history.
Greta will be reading from the book and talking about the background and what inspires her as a writer and poet.
She is also author of Under Charred Skies, The Defeat of Gilgamesh, and The Shipping News.
